Our team is made up of great people who hail from as near as Keswick itself to as far away as South America. What unites us is our love for this amazing place we call home – indeed that’s what’s brought us all to The Hazeldene – and for sharing it with you.
Whether you’re welcomed by Heli or Vic, made your morning flat white by Jodie, or left a fresh, fluffy towel by Ben, Candy and our team of pro housekeepers – whoever you meet during your stay – we’ll all do our best to make you feel at home. We can’t wait to welcome you.
The history
The Hazeldene, built in 1892, is perfectly situated both on the edge and in the heart of Keswick – we admit that this sounds like an impossible contradiction, but it really is true! A five-minute stroll north and you’re at the Moot Hall and the buzz of the town’s shops and restaurants, five minutes south and you’re dipping your toes in the cool, calm of Derwentwater.
We’re probably a little bit biased, but we’d say The Heads is the most beautiful street in Keswick – and The Hazeldene is The Heads’ most beautiful building.
