☹ The water tank was above our room and we could hear it filling it up.

Pay that little bit extra, you'll notice.
☺ Absolutely stunning building inside and out, everything is spotless, the room was very comfortable, plenty of space for 2, with a lovely view facing the fells.
The staff were a delight, very attentive and helpful. Everything has a touch of class and a fine attention to detail, from the freshly baked cookies when you get back after exploring, to the beautiful breakfast spread in the morning.
The location of this building is perfect, a short walk to the lake and also into town.
I will definitely be coming back to The Hazeldene when I visit the Lake District again and could not recommend it enough.
☹ Only one minor thing is the car park, it is a bit tight if there are large vehicles, but I overheard a check in and the staff said they are able to get you a permit to park elsewhere if need be, which is very kind and attentive.

Exceptional
☺ All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, the continental breakfast was all homemade or locally sauced and there was a good choice of cooked food. The bed was very comfy and the room was clean, although quite small. Had a great stay.
